2019 Breeder Stats (FINAL Update 3-26-20)
The season is officially over now that the Arizona Derby finished its race. Yes, the rules stated that all races must finish by 12/31/19, but the Arizona Derby had to be carried into 2020 due to some race challenges and health challenges for the OLR Manager. We actually struggled with the decision on what to do as our rules didn’t speak specifically to that situation as the breeders entered the race planning on it being included in the Stats calculation. The race rules was announced that the race would be completed by 12/31/2019 and if the race was pulled out several breeders would fall below the required 25 bird threshold. There was no easy answer here.
Anyway, it seems a bit anticlimactic now that we are well into 2020 and sending out for our 2020 races to be finishing the awards for 2019. We are making some adjustments for 2020 in that NO RACE will be carried into 2021 and if you rely on a race and it carries into 2021 then that is on the breeder and if they fall below 25 – they will be removed from the competition. More on 2020 rule changes later – CONGRATS TO THE 2019 CHAMPIONS!!!!! If you have any questions please email us at: email@example.com
REMEMBER: In order to be tracked a breeder must have entered 25 birds in 3 separate qualifying races.

OVERALL CHAMPION BREEDER
Over the past few years we have been evaluating how to take all the categories and calculate an overall champion breeder. We are now comfortable that we have appropriately weighted the categories to determine an overall champion breeder. Every category is weighted other than Total Entry. We provide the most weight to the categories that are about winning performances (i.e. Top 10%, % of Money Winning Positions, etc.) and success on the final race. We are excited to provide an overall champion and over time believe they will continue to gain credibility and prestige. Please note that these results will change dramatically as more races finish and as more breeders get birds in races. Some breeders we are tracking have not had a single bird in a race – so be excited if you are on this list, but not too excited until we get nearer to the end of the year.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Overall Champion Loft
BREEDERS – TOTAL ENTRY
BREEDERS – % OF ENTRIES IN TOP 10% (200 Miles+)
NOTE: This is the number of total positions (not individual birds) that a breeder has finish in the Top 10% of each race over 200 miles in each of the qualifying races. This is very important statistic showing whether a breeder has a solid breeding program with many good birds producing competitive pigeons in the races.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Top 10%
BREEDERS – % OF MONEY WINNING POSITIONS (200 Miles+)
NOTE: This is the total money winning positions (not individual birds) that a breeder has win a money prize in races over 200 miles. This is another important statistic showing the overall quality of the breeder as it a percentage of the total birds entered.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Money Winning %
BREEDERS – TOTAL MONEY WON
NOTE: This is simply the total amount of money won. This is why many enter one loft races and it is important, but if a breeder wins 1 big final race and doesn’t place any other birds in the money the results here may not represent a successful program – just a big single win. That is why the number of money winning birds is also shown on the stats.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Total Money Won
BREEDERS – % OF BIRDS TO FINAL RACE
NOTE: This tracks the number of birds a breeder gets to the final race. Keep in mind that due to the Hoosier final race being cancelled a breeders birds that were in the Hoosier are not being counted in this %.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Final Race %
BREEDERS – % OF MONEY WINNERS ON FINAL RACE
NOTE: This tracks the % of birds a breeder puts in the money on the most important race of every one loft race – the FINAL! Keep in mind that due to the Hoosier final race being cancelled a breeders birds that were in the Hoosier are not being counted in this %.Breeder Data 2019 – 3-25-20 – Final Race Money %
